Lawns – so it’s a busy time on your lawn in October, but here’s a tip to make life easier! For those final mowings of the season, use the mower to shred the leaves and add organic humus to the lawn – it saves you the problem of sweeping them up!

Welcome to Autumn! It has been a bit of a shock to the system having a chill in the air after we have been used to almost tropical temperatures. Still, there's days where we are not sure if we should be putting away the summer wardrobe just yet. This time before the cold really starts to hit is quite pleasant. Fresh and cool first thing then warming up late morning, perfect for a stroll. We are making the most of being able to get the washing out on the line still!
Autumn is with us and let’s hope the good weather continues, to raise our spirits and shorten the winter!
It’s officially Autumn and aren’t we feeling it, quite a change and it feels quite sudden not allowing time for us to acclimate. One weekend we were sat watching our son at a football match almost getting sunstroke and the next match it was as winter boots and a down coat!
Autumn is with us and lets hope for good weather, to raise our spirits, shorten the winter and give us time to attend to all those essential garden chores.
