Here we are in a brand-new year! We have had a funny old start with the weather not being as we’d expect, milder days have been very welcome though to lift our spirits.

The weather may be cold, wet and windy, so there will be some days when your best gardening can be done by finding a comfy chair by the fire with a cup of coffee and getting online to order some seed and plant catalogues.

Puting your lawnmower away for the winter months is something we all do, as the grass growth virtually stops and the lawn is ofter too wet and muddy to walk on, let alone take a lawnmower on.
