Lawn care for November

In November, it's important to continue mowing your lawn, but at a slightly lower height than during the summer months.

You should also fertilise your lawn and keep it well-watered, especially if there is a lack of rainfall.

Additionally, consider raking up fallen leaves to prevent them from suffocating your grass. (Check out Mountfield’s great range of leaf blowers to help you with this)

As the weather gets cooler, it's important to pay closer attention to your lawn to ensure it stays healthy.

Here are some additional tips for lawn care in November:

  • Aerate your lawn to promote better water and nutrient absorption. This will also help to improve the overall health of your grass.

  • Consider overseeding your lawn, especially if you have bare or thin areas. This will help to fill in these areas and promote a thicker, more lush lawn in the spring.

  • If you live in an area with freezing temperatures, be sure to drain and store your garden hoses to prevent them from bursting. This will also help to extend the life of your hoses.

  • If you have any trees or shrubs near your lawn, be sure to rake up any fallen debris, such as branches or acorns. This will not only help to prevent damage to your lawn mower, but it will also prevent these items from becoming potential hazards for your lawn.

By following these tips, you can help to ensure that your lawn is healthy and vibrant throughout the colder months and ready to thrive come spring.
