Mountfield's SP42 is a fantastic self-propelled, petrol-driven lawnmower at a great price.
A super reliable STIGA ST120 Autochoke engine and impressive 41cm cutting width combine to produce a hard-working, dependable and easy to use mower.
Featuring a robust steel chassis and a centralised lever to adjust the cutting height of the blade - choose from six cutting heights to suit the length of grass you are cutting. Grass clippings are collected into a roomy 60-litre canvas grass catcher complete with bag full indicator to let you know when its time to empty it.
Alternatively with this versatile mower you have the option to mulch the grass. Save time and add nutrients to your lawn - simply fit the mulching plug (supplied with the mower) and as you mow, clippings are finely cut and redistributed back onto the lawn surface as a natural fertiliser.
Lightweight at only 25kg and highly manoeuvrable, with fold-down handlebars for easy storage, the SP42 is a great mower for small to medium-sized gardens.

The petrol lawn mower is almost fully assembled when you open the box. The main parts have been put together and the remaining elements are easy to assemble. Follow the directions in the instruction manual to ensure the petrol lawnmower is assembled correctly.
How should this petrol lawn mower be cleaned after use?
We recommend cleaning the lawn mower in the normal way after each use. Before washing the lawn mower, we suggest that any residual grass or top soil is removed using the special Mountfield scraper, which can be purchased separately. Next, the inside of the chassis can be washed with water.
