The SP46 is a great self-propelled, petrol-driven lawnmower. The reliable STIGA ST140 Autochoke engine and the 46cm cutting width combine to produce a hard-working, dependable and easy to use mower.
Equipped with a robust dark grey steel chassis the SP46 certainly looks the part! It has a centralised lever to adjust the cutting height of the blade – and there are six positions to choose from depending on the length of grass you are cutting – with clippings collected into a spacious 60-litre canvas grass bag. It even comes with a 'bag full' indicator so you know when its time for a trip to the compost heap.
Alternatively save time and to add vital nutrients to your lawn by mulching the grass. Simply fit the included mulching plug and clippings are finely cut and redistributed back onto the lawn surface as you mow. Genius!

How should this petrol lawn mower be cleaned after use?
We recommend cleaning the grass cutter in the normal way after each use. Before washing the grass cutter, we suggest that any residual grass or top soil is removed using the special scraper, which can be purchased separately.

What is the cutting height set to on this petrol lawn mower?
The cutting height can be adjusted according to desired grass length. If the grass is very long, we recommend first mowing the lawn with the cutting deck in a higher position. Then, mow the lawn a second time with the cutting height set to the desired grass length. For information on cutting height positions, refer to the "Technical specs" section. Read the instruction manual carefully.

The mulching system of this petrol lawn mower allows you to cut the grass into fine pieces, which remain on the lawn, restore nutrients and support growth.

To use the side discharge function on this petrol mower, you need to remove the bag, attach the mulching plug and join the deflector to the side of the cutting deck. You can re-attach the bag to the lawn mower, but it is not required for use in side discharge mode.
