This will depend on the time and year which you can discuss with GreenThumb but will be one of the following;
Nutragreen 1 (Spring)
The best possible start to the year
Spring is all about new growth and rejuvenation. Our customised fertiliser is uniquely developed to work in cooler temperatures, encouraging the grass plant to wake from its dormant state into the growing period. It provides the right mix of nutrients to help the grass grow stronger and give it a vibrant colour.
Spring weather conditions tend to result in a flourish of young weeds, so this treatment also includes a selective herbicide. If you're a new customer you should expect over half of your weeds to disappear after the first treatment. After three or four treatments most of your weeds should be gone.
How it works
The fertiliser part of the treatment contains the ideal balance of micronutrients to support the development of the grass plant; our experts control its application to make sure growth is adequate but not excessive. The formula breaks down like this:
Nitrogen encourages strength
Phosphorous supports root development
Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium contribute to the overall health of the plant
Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for growth but it isn't stored by the soil so it has to be added. It's broken down by the soil into nitrates which can then be taken up through the plants' roots. All the other micronutrients are already present in the soil so adding the fertiliser supports and rejuvenates the existing soil nutrients.
The herbicide part of the treatment is used to control broad-leafed weeds, such as dandelion, daisy, clover and buttercup. When sprayed it enters the plant via the leaf, disrupting its normal growth pattern. Gradually the appearance of weeds in the lawn reduce over the following three weeks and throughout the growing season.

Nutragreen 2 (Early Summer)
An essential top up for a thicker, greener lawn
The Early Summer treatment helps your lawn to grow in a strong and healthy way as the temperature rises. The nutrient feed applied is coated to protect the lawn - the process of slow release allows it to work for up to 10 weeks. This feed strengthens the grass, thickens the sward and ensures a vibrant colour.
We also apply a herbicide to target any new weed invaders that may have sprung up in the spring months, resulting in a lawn to be proud of at this time of year when you'll be using it most.
How it works
The feed is a unique blend of a polymer coated fertiliser and naturally sourced mineral, designed to reduce scorch; it is a truly beneficial feed for the grass. Its formula breaks down like this:
Nitrogen, which encourages strength and colour, in a slightly increased ratio compared to our Spring Treatment
Potassium helps to sustain the plant and Magnesium and Calcium supports the Nitrogen to do its job
The Nitrogen part of the treatment is fully coated to prevent it directly touching the plant as this can cause scorching. It's slowly released in the soil to help restock the level of nitrates over the summer and to continue strengthening the plant.
The herbicide part of the treatment is designed to only affect weeds that have a leaf in the lawn. Its selective nature means that it shouldn't harm the grass, especially when target spraying. Depending on how many weeds can be seen in the lawn, it's applied either by a blanket or target spraying technique, as determined by our trained lawn advisor.
